The BTMU Story
The BTMU was formed around the year 2000 by Grand Master Malcolm Siddal 8th Dan and a
group of his close associates in the Martial arts community. All founding members of the
BTMU were highly experienced Masters of martial arts running their own successful clubs.
The aim of the BTMU was to provide an umbrella organisation for like minded clubs in all
styles of martial arts. To provide a democratic union that would support clubs and offer
affordable insurance.
Over the last 20 years the BTMU has been run as a successful organisation for the
community, reaching out to children and adults of many martial arts styles and abilities.
After Grand Master Siddall passed away suddenly in April 2020 his close friends and
colleagues decided to keep the BTMU running in his honour as an inclusive organisation for
all styles and abilities.
